Biometric Data Retention Policy

Version: 1.0Effective December 19, 2025
This Biometric Data Retention Policy explains how Tools for Humanity Corporation (“We”, “TFH”) processes certain data when you verify your World ID using the Orb. During the verification process, the Orb will photograph your face and eyes to generate an iris code (“Orb Verification Data”) and then anonymizes the iris code through Anonymized Multi Party Computation (“AMPC”).
In some jurisdictions, Orb Verification Data may be considered biometric information or a biometric identifier.
TFH collects the Orb Verification Data solely for the purpose of verifying your World ID. The data is only stored on the Orb only for the seconds required to facilitate the verification process. During this time, the data is stored only on the Orb and protected from disclosure under a reasonable standard of care.
To complete the verification process, the Orb Verification Data is cryptographically signed and encrypted so it can be securely transmitted and stored on your phone. TFH does not share this data with anyone other than you. After verification, the data is permanently deleted from the Orb. TFH does not retain the data. This means you alone have a copy of your personal data.
You can find more information about TFH’s data processing practices in the World App Privacy Policy.
